Trainee Programs

Chubb trainees participate in a variety of learning experiences to introduce them to the fundamentals of insurance.  Our programs include self-paced online learning, on-the-job developmental experiences as well as a variety of classroom programs.  Although much of your training may take place in your local branch office, it may also include classroom programs at our worldwide headquarters in Warren, New Jersey.  Once you complete the fundamentals, you may participate in subsequent sessions designed to help you understand the marketplace, our products and services, and the philosophy for your area of specialty.

 

Advanced Training

To keep the skills of our employees sharp, our business units design and offer distinct, customized training curricula which will help grow your specialized knowledge regarding new products, marketing strategies and business issues that impact our customers, agents and brokers.

 

Leadership and Business Development

Chubb offers a variety of programs to help employees at all levels enhance their leadership and general business skills.  Many of these programs are offered in an online format so you can get what you need when you need it with maximum convenience.  For new managers as well as seasoned executives, we provide a range of distinctive corporate programs, on-the-job developmental opportunities, e-learning and external courses.  Our programs target global audiences including diverse employee populations and high potential talent.

 

Tuition Investment Program

Chubb's Tuition Investment Program has been designed to help our top performers continue their formal education by strategically focusing tuition dollars on courses and programs that directly impact our business and the bottom line results of the organization.  The program covers both technical and non-technical education, as well as both degree and non-degree programs and industry seminars. Once approved, Chubb pays the costs for employees who pursue industry designations, such as the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting designation for underwriters and the Certified Safety Professional designation for loss control representatives.  In fact, we have been recognized by CPCU for the way we distinguish ourselves from our competition in financially encouraging our employees to pursue their designations.

 

e-Learning (online education)

Chubb employees can improve their skills with maximum convenience using our e-learning resources.  Our online choices range from extensive offerings to help to develop your general business, financial and IT skills to targeted technical training in many specialty insurance areas.  If you join us, much of your initial orientation and compliance training will be done in an e-learning format during your first few months with us.  Chubb employees worldwide have access to e-learning opportunities at their desktops.  Our plans include continued enhancement and expansion of this capability in the near future.
